Our training materials are designed to support those with emerging or expanding interests in ocean practices. We draw about ocean observation experts and educators to formulate and provide training materials for best practices.

Training includes a series of webinars and an educational course on Ocean Best Practices, developed in partnership with the IOC OceanTeacher Global Academy. 

Courses

The Ocean Best Practices Self-Paced Course aims to introduce students to the concept of ocean best practices, the OBPS programme, and the Repository. It consists of four modules, each presented by a member of the OBPS Steering Group:

• Module 1 – What is an Ocean Best Practice?
• Module 2 – Creating an Ocean Best Practice (see infographic below)
• Module 3 – How to Submit to the OBPS Repository
• Module 4 – How to Search the OBPS Repository
