Ocean Practices: OBPS Workshop VI

The  Ocean Practices: OBPS Workshop VI will take place VIRTUALLY ;  Plenaries will be 5, 6, and 19 October 2022 (each three hours long).  Working Group sessions will meet in between, at times of their own choosing.

The workshop goals are to guide the development of best practices and operating practices, to promote their documentation, and to share them widely using the Ocean Best Practices System. The workshop will cover a broad range of topics proposed by self-identified session leads, working with the workshop coordinators.

For the Plenaries there will be two general themes: 1) Guiding technology evolution and use, and 2) Capacity development/sharing, with an emphasis on developing countries.

Working Group sessions may cover any subject relating to ocean best practices.

Ocean Decade programmes may use this workshop to advance global interoperability and collaboration.

During registration you may propose to lead a theme or session for a Working Group. Sessions can be one hour or longer, on multiple days, as planned by the proposed session lead. Please send your session/topic proposals by 31 May 2022 to paul.vanruth@utas.edu.au.
